Veterinary Technician Warren Animal HospitalLocation:
Phillipsburg, NJ Full-Time | Two Evening Shifts Until 8:00 PM |
Rotating Saturdays Pay:
Starting at $18/hour, based on experienceGrow Your Veterinary Career With Warren Animal HospitalWarren Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing, multi-doctor practice in Phillipsburg, NJ.Since 1977, our hospital has been providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to pets and families throughout Warren County and the surrounding communities. We are looking for a technician who enjoys hands-on patient care, works well as part of a team, and takes initiative in a busy clinical environment.

What You'll Be DoingAs a Veterinary Technician, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and support team throughout appointments, treatments, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spacesPerforming venipuncture and collecting blood samplesPlacing IV cathetersAdministering SQ, IM, and IV medications and injectionsUnderstanding commonly used veterinary medications and appropriate dosagesObtaining diagnostic radiographsPreparing and processing laboratory specimens for in-house testing and reference laboratoriesAssisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoringPerforming dental cleanings and dental radiographsAssisting with emergency procedures as directed by the veterinarianSafely restraining and handling patientsEducating clients on treatments, medications, and patient careMaintaining accurate patient recordsSupporting efficient workflow throughout the hospitalCompleting additional patient care and hospital duties as needed What We're Looking ForOur ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced veterinary environment. We're looking for someone who:

Has previous veterinary technician or strong veterinary assistant experienceIs confident with hands-on technical and patient care skillsProvides excellent customer serviceCommunicates effectively with clients and team membersTakes initiative and can prioritize responsibilitiesWorks well as part of a collaborative veterinary teamRemains calm and professional during stressful situationsIs comfortable safely handling animals of different sizes and temperamentsHas basic computer skills; Cornerstone experience is a plusCan stand for extended periods and safely lift at least 50 pounds Why Join Warren Animal Hospital?
