Duties Assist veterinarian with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment. Perform dental cleanings, terminology-based procedures, and pet grooming to promote overall health and hygiene. Handle animals safely using proper animal handling techniques, including dog training and equine experience when applicable. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and wound management to prevent infections. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, perform laboratory tests, and interpret results to support diagnosis. Provide pet care instructions to clients, including animal husbandry, nutrition advice, and post-operative care. Requirements Valid licensure as a Veterinary Technician. Proven veterinary technician experience with familiarity in veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary critical care procedures, and laboratory techniques. Excellent animal restraint skills combined with pet care expertise to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Competency in radiography (X-ray), dental procedures involving terminology understanding, and aseptic techniques for surgical prep. Effective communication skills for client education on pet grooming, animal care, and health maintenance.
