Licensed Veterinary Technician - Veterinary Center for

Birds and Exotics Location:

Veterinary Center for Birds and Exotics 709 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills, NY, 10507 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at our Bedford Hills location. The ideal candidate will have experience in anesthesia, blood sample collection, hospital treatments, radiology, pharmacy, and client education. Experience with exotic pets is highly valued. As a vital team member, you will contribute to providing exceptional care to our patients and support to our veterinary staff.

•Higher pay/differential on Saturdays!

•Key Responsibilities Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures. Collect and process blood samples and other laboratory specimens accurately. Assist with hospital treatments and patient care, including wound management and medication administration. Perform radiology procedures and ensure proper safety protocols are followed. Manage pharmacy inventory and dispense medications as directed by veterinarians. Provide client education regarding pet health, treatments, and preventive care. Handle and care for exotic pets with specialized knowledge and attention. Collaborate effectively as a team member to maintain a positive and efficient work environment. Qualifications Valid Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in the state of New York. Proven experience in anesthesia, radiology, and hospital treatments. Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures and medication handling. Experience with exotic pets preferred. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
