Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients. This role is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of animals while also assisting pet owners with their needs. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform diagnostic tests including X-rays and laboratory work. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Provide care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry and post-operative care. Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection. Handle dogs and cats safely and effectively during examinations and treatments. Demonstrate knowledge of animal anatomy and dental terminology in daily tasks. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician,(2 years). Proficiency in animal handling techniques. Familiarity with veterinary practices, including dental procedures and terminology. Knowledge of animal husbandry principles to ensure optimal care. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners.
