Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, and surgeries as needed. Perform routine laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal examinations. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under the direction of the veterinarian. Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering fluids, and maintaining patient comfort. Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures. Assist veterinarians with emergency cases. Educate pet owners on proper care and medication administration for their animals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments and procedures. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic and treatment areas

Requirements:

Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York State Experience working as a veterinary technician is recommended but not required. Proficiency in performing routine veterinary procedures and laboratory tests. Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with clients and team members. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to animal care. Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends as scheduled. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
