We are a two doctor, privately owned, small animal practice in Westchester, NY, committed to providing high-quality veterinary care with a compassionate touch. We're looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Technician to join our team and help us deliver exceptional care to our furry friends.
Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in our clinic, assisting veterinarians in various procedures and providing top-notch care to our patients. Your skills and compassion will help ensure that every pet feels comfortable and cared for during their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures. Perform routine lab work, including blood draws and sample analysis. Monitor and manage anesthesia for surgical patients. Perform dental cleanings and take dental radiographs. Provide nursing care and administer medications as directed. Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and post-operative care. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with clinic inventory. Ensure a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent Current New York State Veterinary Technician license (or eligibility for licensure) Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proficient in veterinary software and basic computer skills
