Licensed Veterinary Tech Job Description Animal Care Centers of Long Island is seeking an energetic and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team in Plainview, NY. We will only accept candidates with an existing Veterinary Technician License or who are actively in a curriculum to obtain a Veterinary Technician License.

• The ideal candidate will be a positive individual with one to three years of veterinary experience. Candidates with experience in specialty veterinary medicine and/or small animal anesthesia will be preferred. We are willing to consider candidates with less experience who wish to advance their knowledge and learn more about the field of Veterinary.

Responsibilities:

Performing all laboratory in-hospital procedures and to prepare specimens for outside laboratories Taking patient histories, monitoring vitals, and checking weights on patients Cleaning, stocking, transferring and discharging patients Delivering strong and professional customer service to clients, and more!

Experience:

Veterinary Technician:

1 year (Preferred) Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

License:

Veterinary Assistant/Tech (Preferred)

Additional Compensation :

Bonuses We are looking to fill full-time positions for both our Plainview, NY and Huntington, NY locations. Candidates must be willing and able to work occasional shifts at BOTH locations. Fridays, Saturdays and on-call availability is required.
