NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician

Skills Required Client education History taking and maintenance of records Knowledge of medical terminology, vaccine protocols, parasite control, wellness care, common veterinary ailments, conditions and topics Triaging emergencies Venipuncture Catheter Placement Drug Calculations Anesthesia and Monitoring Pre and Post op Care Dental and Surgical Assistance Hospital Maintenance/ Cleaning X-ray and Positioning Injections and Proper Administration of vaccines Knowledge of Laboratory Equipment Preparation of Specimens Must be a team player Applicant should be willing to work at least one evening a week (clinic closes at 6:30pm) and an occasional Saturday. Must be licensed in New York State. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Should be prepared to stand for most of 8 or 10 hour shift.
