Now Hiring:
New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician Join the Georgetown Animal Clinic Team! Georgetown Animal Clinic is a privately owned veterinary practice (not a corporate clinic) and we're looking to welcome a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to our team. We are seeking a technician with strong clinical abilities and excellent client communication skills. Responsibilities Assist with exams, diagnostics, radiology, and laboratory testing. Prepare patients for surgery, administer and monitor anesthesia under veterinary supervision. Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood draws. Safely restrain and handle animals during exams and procedures. Operate veterinary equipment, including digital radiology and anesthesia monitoring systems. Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary software and assist with medication dispensing. Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care. Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines. Our team members work together to provide exceptional patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule. Qualifications Current NYS Veterinary Technician license (or eligible for licensure soon). Experience preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply—we're happy to provide training. We will also consider applicants currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technician program. Knowledge of anesthesia, surgery, radiology, laboratory procedures, and animal nursing. Strong animal handling and restraint skills. Experience with IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and surgical assistance. Proficiency with veterinary software and medical equipment. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
