We are seeking a skilled, reliable Relief Veterinary Technician to join our team in Blue Ash for a specific temporary contract. The Role:

Surgery & Anesthesia Focus This is a temporary/relief position designed for a technician who is highly proficient in surgical support. While you will assist with appointments as needed, your primary domain will be the surgical suite.

Core Responsibilities:

Anesthesia Mastery:

Expert-level induction, intubation, maintenance, and multi-parameter monitoring.

Surgical Support:

Proficient IV catheter placement, patient prepping, and assisting in sterile procedures (spays, neuters, mass removals).

Dentals:

Performing dental prophylaxis and assisting with dental imaging.

Technical Excellence:

Advanced medical math, venipuncture, and fluid therapy administration.

Instrument Care:

Cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, pack wrapping, and sterilization (autoclave) protocols.

Light Appointment Support:

Obtaining histories, TPRs, and assisting with vaccines/diagnostics during downtime. Schedule & Availability We are looking for coverage for the following specific timeframe: Phase 1 (Starts June 25th): Thursdays only. Phase 2 (August 18th - September 24th): Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Requirements RVT Certification:

Must be currently registered and in good standing.

Clinical Experience:

6+ years of clinical experience with a heavy emphasis on surgery/anesthesia.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with iOS and ezyVet software is a major plus.

Reliability:

Strong personal accountability and reliable transportation to Blue Ash, OH.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and remain active for the duration of the shift.
