Job Description
Belvoir Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for clients and patients during exams and outpatient visits. We are seeking an outgoing technician who thrives in client engagement, schedule coordination, and multitasking. This role is focused on exams and outpatient care because we believe credentialed technicians meaningfully elevate the quality of medicine, client education, patient advocacy, and overall hospital workflow through the education, clinical knowledge, and professional judgment they bring to every patient interaction. In this position, you will play a critical role in identifying patient concerns, supporting efficient case management, educating clients, anticipating veterinarian needs, and ensuring a consistently high standard of care throughout the patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting efficient exam room and outpatient workflow to ensure exceptional patient and client care Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Supporting veterinarians during outpatient procedures and treatments while advocating for high-quality patient care Building positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service Schedule and compensation:Compensation:
$21 - 27 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position with availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Full-time Benefits Package- : Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of [state] CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform allowance Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of veterinary technician experience Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio •Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Radiology positioning and safety protocols Medication administration and accurate drug calculations Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing Accurate medical record documentation Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques Client education and communication •Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply Belvoir Pet Hospital is a busy, five-doctor practice offering the highest quality of medicine small animals in our community.
