Job Description

Full job description Towne and Country Animal Clinic is a well-established veterinary hospital located in Fairborn, OH. We are looking for a full or part time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team providing superior medical and environmental care for the animals staying at our facility. We will consider recent graduates who have not yet taken their VTNE. Compassionate care towards our patients is our highest priority. Come be a part of our journey! The Registered Veterinary Technician is the veterinarian's primary medical support and plays a vital role in achieving greater efficiency in overall patient care within the practice. The RVT will apply their professional skills to assist in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imagery, laboratory testing, patient nursing care, administering medication, client education and take their own appointments for procedures such as suture removal, nail trims, vaccine administration and lab work when a doctor exam is not required. This position requires a working knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, common diseases, their symptoms, means of transmission, treatment and prevention, and other basic preventative health care recommendations. Technicians must enjoy working with animals along with people and value the care provided at Towne and Country Animal Clinic. The right person for this role will have both strong clinical and interpersonal skills setting a good example, promoting a positive work environment, and providing leadership for other members of the team. This role is fast-paced and often requires significant communication, multi-tasking, and a creative thinking ability.
