Our Metropolitan family is expanding, and we want you to be a part of our Specialty Teams! Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, a full-service, 24hr Emergency and Referral Hospital is growing again! We are currently seeking a full time Registered Veterinary Technician for out Ophthalmology Dept. at our Highland Heights location. As a member of our team, you will enjoy a challenging and rewarding career, while providing the highest quality nursing care, in our technologically advanced facilities! At Metropolitan, you will have the opportunity to highlight your skills! Work in a high-volume ophthalmology department with two doctors and multiple team members to provide exceptional care. The ideal addition to our Ophthalmology team will possess: State of Ohio Veterinary Technician license A minimum of 1-year Veterinary experience preferred but not required Proficiency in calculations (drug, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) Flexibility to work hours/shifts to meet the needs of the hospital Superb verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking Communication skills
  • between staff, doctors, and clients. All basic RVT skills (phlebotomy, IVC placement, anesthesia monitoring, basic medical math etc.) Ability to use a ventilator during anesthesia

Tuesday-Friday (Tuesday Akron office) (Wednesday-Friday Cleveland office) weekend on calls Perks of the job!
