Wage:

$22-$27 per hour based on experience

Full-time 4-day work week (32-40 hours) or Part-time (20-30 hours)

Schedule:

Open availability with hours varying between Monday through Friday 7:30am to 8pm and Fridays 7:30am to 5pm. No Weekends!! We are seeking a skilled and team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. Position Summary The Veterinary Technician supports veterinarians in delivering medical care, assists with surgical procedures, and ensures a positive client experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about animal care. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.) including in-house blood machine usage, house ear cytology, etc. Ability to perform in house ear cytology and microfilaria screening Perform radiographs and other diagnostic imaging Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery as needed Educate clients on medications, post-operative care, and preventive health Obtain patient histories, vitals and accurately document medical records Utilize a Fear-Free approach with patients when restraining or performing treatments Help train all staff common animal behaviors and be willing to help continue positive reinforcement. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment and surgical areas Ability to properly triage and assess incoming patients Qualifications Active RVT license in the state of Ohio (or eligibility to obtain) Previous veterinary clinical experience preferred not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient in basic computer and medical record systems Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor Maintain a professional appearance while at work Physical Requirements Ability to lift and restrain animals up to 40-50 lbs Comfortable standing for extended periods Able to work in a clinical environment with exposure to animals, odors, and noise Benefits (for eligible employees) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay Employee pet care discounts Continuing education support 401k Retirement Plan with up to a 4% match
