Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Veterinary Urgent Care Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Flexible Scheduling Springfield, Ohio The Pet Clinic of Springfield Urgent Care is growing, and we're looking to add RVTs to our team! As Springfield's first dedicated veterinary urgent care, we provide timely, same-day care for pets who need more than primary care but may not require a full emergency hospital. Our goal is to bridge the gap between primary care and emergency medicine while working collaboratively with local veterinarians. Our caseload continues to grow, and we're working toward expanding our operating hours to better serve our community. Adding Thursdays is the first expansion we're working toward, with additional changes to our schedule as our team grows. We're looking for RVTs who want to be part of a skilled, supportive team and help us continue building something special. Why Join Us? No overnight shifts Daytime/evening urgent care Current shifts are approximately 6.5 hours, with plans to expand shift length as the team grows No routine hospitalization or overnight patient care Urgent care medicine without the intensity of a traditional ER Work alongside experienced RVTs, assistants, and veterinarians Opportunity to help shape workflows, protocols, and the culture of a growing practice Collaborative relationship with local primary care veterinarians A small, community-focused team where your skills and input matter Opportunity to grow with a developing practice and expanding caseload What You'll Do Triage and assess incoming patients Assist veterinarians with urgent and same-day procedures Place IV catheters and perform in-house diagnostics Obtain and monitor patient vitals Monitor anesthesia and sedation Assist with radiology and other diagnostic procedures Maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment Provide compassionate, professional client communication Prepare patients for discharge and reinforce veterinary recommendations Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area Work collaboratively with the entire veterinary team What We're Looking For Active Ohio RVT license (or currently eligible for Ohio licensure) Strong technical and patient-care skills Comfort with triage and recognizing changes in patient status Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Adaptable and willing to jump in wherever needed A positive, professional attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent patient care Urgent care or emergency experience is a plus, but not required. We're also interested in experienced RVTs from general practice who are ready for a new challenge and enjoy a varied caseload. Schedule & Compensation Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Our current urgent care hours are 4:00 PM-10:00 PM Friday-Tuesday , with shifts typically lasting approximately 6.5 hours. As our team grows, we are working toward longer shifts and expanded operating hours, with Thursday being the first additional day we plan to add. Our long-term goal is to build a more sustainable schedule that allows for longer shifts and a rotating weekend structure. The exact schedule will depend on staffing, practice needs, and team availability as we continue to grow. We're looking for team members who are comfortable with some flexibility and interested in helping us build the schedule as the practice evolves.
