Efficient, adaptable team player in a fast-paced emergency setting Clear, compassionate communicator with clients and team members Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with attention to detail Critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities High integrity with commitment to ethics, accountability, and confidentiality Proficient in veterinary terminology and medical math Emergency Veterinary Technician duties include but are not limited to : In-patient and out-patient management of stable and critical cases Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, maintenance, and troubleshooting Perform in-house diagnostic testing (blood work, UA, fecals, cytology), assist with digital imaging procedures such as radiography (X-ray) and ultrasound Anesthesia skills: induction, intubation, sterile prep, monitoring, and troubleshooting Clear, effective communication with clients, veterinarians, and team members Strong multitasking and patient prioritization in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Many of these tasks will be required throughout the majority of each shift.
