Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this vital role, you will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure the comfort and safety of our animal patients. Duties Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and analyze results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain accurate records of pet health histories, vaccination schedules, and treatment procedures Support pet care activities such as grooming, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring recovery Take diagnostic radiographs (X-ray) while following proper safety procedures; assist with image processing and interpretation under supervision Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals' behavior and well-being Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and ensuring proper living conditions for hospitalized animals Perform animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other veterinary technical procedures with precision Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and assisting during emergency procedures Qualifications Previous veterinary technician experience or related animal care background is required; kennel experience is highly valued Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care best practices Proficiency in animal handling techniques including dog training, restraint, and grooming Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray imaging, aseptic technique, and animal catheterization Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to pet dental health is a plus Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and educating pet owners on animal care needs Join us if you're passionate about animal health and eager to develop your veterinary technician skills! Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
