Job Description
Apple Creek Vets is looking to add a part-time, full-time possible, Certified Veterinary Technician to join our incredible team! We are a busy one doctor and growing, privately owned, companion animal hospital that loves forming strong bonds with our clients and patients. We offer digital radiology, dental radiography, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, surgical electrocautery, and Shockwave Therapy. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), has at least 1-2 years veterinary technician experience, is a TEAM player, has strong technical and communication skills, like to teach and educate, and possesses a strong work ethic. Will entertain a non-credentialed candidate that has experience and is capable of all skills listed. If you are interested in working together to uphold the highest standards of patient care, we want to hear from you! We are open 8 am - 6 pm M-F. No weekends. Shifts may be a combination of 5 - 10 hours based on scheduling needs. Competitive salary is commensurate with experience. Prior experience as a technician is a must. Duties include but are not limited to: Obtaining patient history and assisting with appointments Educating clients on preventative medicine Preparation and analysis of patient samples Taking care of hospitalized patients Proper and low stress patient handling and restraint Administering and monitoring anesthesia Taking Radiographs Venipuncture and IV catheterization Administering medications and injections Pharmacy Facility & equipment maintenance Reception This is a physical job.
