South Side Flats Animal Hospital is searching for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team! Since 2018, South Side Flats Animal Hospital has proudly served Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities. Our modern practice provides comprehensive care, including wellness services, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, laboratory testing, and end-of-life support. We believe pets are family and are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality medicine at every stage of life. What You'll Do Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to patients Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Obtain blood samples and place IV catheters Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging Complete dental cleanings and obtain dental radiographs Administer medications, injections, vaccines, and prescribed treatments Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Educate clients about medications, preventive care, and at-home treatment plans Safely restrain patients using low-stress handling techniques Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area Support teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture What We're Looking For Current veterinary technician license or certification Previous veterinary technician experience preferred Strong anesthesia, surgical, dental, and laboratory skills Excellent communication and client-education abilities Confidence working in a fast-paced environment A dependable, organized, and team-oriented approach Genuine compassion for animals and the people who love them A commitment to continuing education and professional growth We believe in a Whole Person Approach when it comes to our veterinary teams.
