Job Description
VCA Northview Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our Overnight care team full time! Looking for a refreshing change from hectic overnight shifts? We're seeking a confident technician who enjoys working autonomously, building meaningful patient connections, and delivering focused, high-quality care in a calmer environment. Our hospital includes Surgery, Internal Medicine, the full circle support of General Practice and Wellness care, as well as Rehabilitation patients.
Overnight Veterinary Technician Duties:
Ensure hospitalized patients are provided gold standard medical care Recognize normal and abnormal vitals and respond appropriately Proficiency with medical math to ensure correct dosages Venipuncture / IVC placement when needed Able to stay on task and work independently Keeping an open and collaborative line of communication flowing by rounding with the daytime team to ensure smooth transition of cases Participation in monthly technician meetings that allows time for collaboration, team building, and new protocol reviews Providing compassionate care for all patients
•This role is suited for the experienced licensed or license eligible technician who is confident and well-rounded in their skills.
Potential Schedule:
Full-time - Tue/Wed/Thur 7pm-7am
Compensation:
