Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
Perform various laboratory tests and procedures
Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by the veterinarian
Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
Take and develop X-rays of animals
Maintain accurate records of animal health and treatment
Clean and maintain kennels, examination rooms, and equipment

Experience:

Previous experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field is preferred/CVT/RVT/LVT license preferred for this role
Knowledge of animal handling techniques and best practices/fear free experience/certification is a plus
Understanding of basic pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
Ability to perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately

Skills:

Animal handling/restraint
Venipuncture
Veterinary critical care knowledge
Laboratory procedures such as ear cytology/urinalysis/fecal testing We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Starting pay range is $18
26 an hour with the potential of an increase based on experience.
