Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform various laboratory tests and procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by the veterinarian
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Take and develop X-rays of animals
  • Maintain accurate records of animal health and treatment
  • Clean and maintain kennels, examination rooms, and equipment
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field is preferred/CVT/RVT/LVT license preferred for this role
  • Knowledge of animal handling techniques and best practices/fear free experience/certification is a plus
  • Understanding of basic pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
  • Ability to perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately
Skills:
  • Animal handling/restraint
  • Venipuncture
  • Veterinary critical care knowledge
  • Laboratory procedures such as ear cytology/urinalysis/fecal testing We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Starting pay range is $18
  • 26 an hour with the potential of an increase based on experience.
