Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, positive, hard-working Veterinary Technician. We have a job opening for both a Technician and a Surgical Assistant. 1 to 3 plus years of Veterinary Technician experience preffered for the tech role. The Surgical Assistant role is a fast-paced position with duties primarily related to the preparation duties for surgery. Our busy 7 doctor practice has two locations! One located in Greentree and one in South Fayette just outside of Bridgeville. We have a position open at both locations. We are a family owned practice, and a full service General Practice offering services such as acupuncture, ultrasound, puppy training classes, digital radiology and advanced surgery. We are a fun and energetic group of people. We like to get together outside of work for drinks or events and we have a clinic book club that meets monthly. We encourage a positive team environment and strive to help our techs be the best they can be. Qualifications include but are not limited to the following: Precise and thorough patient triage Demonstrate basic knowledge of anesthetic monitoring Prep ear, blood, and urine specimens for diagnostic purposes Properly administer and apply medications including intramuscular, intravenous, and subcutaneous Proficient in intravenous catheterization Perform diagnostic imaging with minimal assistance from the veterinarian Administering anesthesia, including induction, intubation, maintenance and recovery, and intravenous sedation Perform cardiac monitoring Perform dental prophylaxis Ability to work independently or in a team environment Demonstrate leadership by being a consistent self-starter and go-getter!
