We are a 5 doctor practice that offers medical and surgical treatment as well as boarding, grooming and urgent care services. We're dedicated to helping pets live life to the fullest, since 1968. TAH LVMT
: Experience in a small animal general practice setting is ideal, but the skills and experience can be taught and shared with the right candidate. Antech, IDEXX, digital and dental radiology knowledge Excellent communication and written skills as well as customer relation skills Surgical Experience (IV catheter placement and blood draws) Be able to multi-task, and keep a calm environment Canine pet handling - Cat knowledge and handling Preventive care knowledge Handle tough conversations (cost, euthanasia, medical needs) Customer service and interpersonal communication skills Motivated to learn and continue your education. Timely and focused Self starter Compassionate Provides excellent and expeditious client experience Is aware of patient needs and the correct monitoring and documentation of all medical treatments. Always has the well being of the animal and its treatment in focus and keeps the team aware of all information. Job Description, duties and expectations: Assist with patient care and treatment Monitor hospitalized pets / Monitor/aid in caring for animals after surgery Maintain inventory and stocking Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecal) Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital Administering medications under Veterinarian supervision Feeding/bathing animals Answering phones Customer service Helping clients with their pets Starting wage is based on Experience - License - Surgical Skills and Urgent Care knowledge.
