Job Description Is clinic culture and quality patient care important to you? Do you enjoy working with exotics? We at Hillside Pet Clinic want you! We are searching for a Veterinary Technician to join our staff. We are an AAHA accredited, eight doctor, small animal practice. Here at Hillside, our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for the Fear Free care and treatment of dogs, cats, avian, reptiles and other exotic patients. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all areas of anesthesia, surgical assisting, IV catheter placement, lab specimen collection and processing, radiology, dental prophylaxis, general patient care and client education. We see a large amount of dental and exotic referral cases, so a special interest in one or both areas is a plus. New grads are encouraged to apply! This position requires a self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a desire to learn and the ability to work as an integral member of a team in a fast paced environment. Friendliness, eagerness to help and a strong sense of compassion for patient care is crucial for success in this position. Physical requirements may include being able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. We are open Monday - Friday, 7:00am-6pm and Saturdays 8am-3pm. We have a full time position available, either 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour days are an option, with rotating Saturdays. Part time may also be an option for the right candidate. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
