Veterinary Technician (Experienced) - Full-Time Cumberland Animal Hospital - Cumberland, RI Cumberland Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. We're looking for a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This position requires prior veterinary technician experience. Applicants without relevant experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Safely restrain and handle patients during examinations and procedures Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Obtain and record accurate patient histories, vital signs, and medical records Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to provide outstanding patient care
Requirements:
1+ year of veterinary technician experience preferred Veterinary Technician Certification/Licensure preferred but not required (depending on experience) Strong knowledge of animal handling, nursing care, and laboratory procedures Excellent communication and client education skills Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail Flexible schedule, including evenings
