In this energetic role, you will utilize your veterinary expertise to assist with medical procedures, animal handling, and client communication. Duties Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures including X-ray imaging and laboratory testing Perform animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety during examinations and treatments Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following aseptic techniques and veterinary protocols Maintain accurate records of animal physiology, anatomy, and medical histories in compliance with veterinary terminology standards Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with animal dental care and surgery Handle laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and analysis to aid in diagnostics Manage animal catheterization and other critical care procedures for hospitalized patients Communicate to pet parents proper discharge instructions for their pets after medical procedures Requirements Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent credential from an accredited program Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal physiology Kennel experience and familiarity with dog handling are highly preferred Experience in veterinary critical care settings and laboratory work is advantageous Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively regarding domestic house hold pets such as dogs and cats Strong communication skills to educate clients on pet care, pet grooming, and health maintenance Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a real difference!
