The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the well-being of animals in our facility. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and sterile. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, blood differentials, and platelet counts. Induce, maintain, and monitor patients under anesthesia and during recovery Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals during examinations and treatments. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including proper disposal of waste and sterilization of instruments. Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Perform dental radiographs and cleanings. Experience Preferred candidates will possess the following skills and experiences: Previous veterinary technician experience or relevant certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary diagnostics. Proficiency in veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques. Experience with animal catheterization, restraint methods, and X-ray procedures.
