Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing high-quality care in a veterinary setting.Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Monitor and care for hospitalized animals
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
Requirements:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus
- Familiarity with animal physiology and behavior
- Strong communication skills with both pet owners and team members
