Description Veterinary Technician CanyonVet New Braunfels Full-time About You Y ou'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end

  • to•end care for our precious patients.

Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including intake and discharging patients. The success of your patients' care matters to you, and your success matters to us. Role responsibilities : Obtain patient history and provide client education Maintain animal records Assist doctors with appointments and surgeries Help with the check in/check out process Restraining pets Administer medications and vaccinations Place IV catheters Perform blood draws Anesthesia monitoring Maintain supplies and equipment Complete laboratory tests and diagnostics Maintain a safe and clean environment Performs any other duties as assigned

Experience & Skills Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician Veterinary technician licensure preferred Must have strong hands-on surgical experience, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative recovery Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, doctors, management, and hospital personnel Self-motivated and takes initiative Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Passion for helping animals and the people who care for them Strong attention to detail Must be available to wor k a few Saturdays each month You'll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
