Job Description

Responsibilities:
Perform initial health evaluations and assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures Handle basic care duties including cleaning and dressing wounds, administering medication, collecting samples, and checking vitals Assist with lab work including blood tests and urine sample analysis Sterilize tools and restock examination and operating rooms Provide food and water to animals retained more than a day and monitor for unusual health issues Educate pet families on at-home care Update patient files and handle administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician is
REQUIRED
Surgery experience is
REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent required Working knowledge of standard veterinary tools and equipment Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Ability to properly restrain animals of all sizes Minimum lifting requirement of 50lbs Excellent communication and organizational skills Passion for working with animals
