The ideal candidate is a dependable, punctual self-starter who is detail-oriented, works well as part of a team, and thrives in a busy environment. Experience in the veterinary field is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. The schedule will be 1pm -6pm Monday thru Friday, with a rotation of weekends, once trained. Please note that flexibility is required, as occasional schedule changes may occur. Candidates must also be able to work a rotating schedule of weekends and holidays, averaging 25-30 hours per week. Daily responsibilities include providing care and meeting the basic needs of animals in our hospital and boarding facilities, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Tasks include cleaning kennels, cages, and runs; performing daily laundry; walking dogs multiple times per day; feeding and monitoring animals; and assisting with general cleaning throughout the clinic. This position requires frequent physical activity including bending, standing, stooping, moving between rooms, and extended periods of walking or standing. You must be able to use your hands for handling and restraint, reach with arms and hands, and lift or carry dogs up to 50 lbs. You will also need to safely walk and handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs. If you have a positive attitude, can multitask and prioritize, work well with others, and are looking to join a great team, we'd love to hear from you!
