The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of our clinic, assist with animal care, and ensure a positive experience for our clients and their pets. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal health and welfare to develop their skills in a professional veterinary environment. Prior veterinary clinic experience, kennel experience, or animal husbandry knowledge is highly valued. Duties Assist veterinarians with animal examinations and procedures Handle animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations and treatments Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision Support pet care activities including feeding, bathing, and grooming Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas, kennels, and equipment using aseptic techniques Monitor animals' vital signs and overall condition during hospital stays or treatments Assist with laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing Handle animal catheterization, injections, and other technical procedures as trained Provide specialized care for different species including dogs, cats, and equines when necessary Maintain knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and pet care best practices Assist in surgical procedures Skills Kennel experience, animal handling, and pet care expertise Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures Experience with medication administration, animal restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures Ability to handle diverse animals including dogs, cats, and horses (equine experience is a plus) Strong communication skills for front desk duties and client interactions Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience preferred but not required; relevant veterinary clinic experience is highly valued Critical care experience in veterinary settings is advantageous Familiarity with animal catheterization procedures and laboratory work is beneficial Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position provides an excellent platform for those passionate about veterinary medicine to grow their skills while contributing to the health and well-being of animals.
