Job Description
Mixed animal practice looking to hire a hardworking full time or part time technician to help with both small and large animals. We need someone who is a self starter and able to work well under pressure. Must be skilled in animal handling, surgical prep and client interactions. Candidate must have at least 1 year experience in the veterinary field. Applicant must have a strong work ethic and be able to perform the following tasks. Help hold and restrain patients during medical examinations and other veterinary services being provided Monitor anesthesia and perform surgical prep Place IV catheters Perform laboratory testing such as fecals, ear cytologies, etc. Keep all areas of the hospital stocked with appropriate supplies Collect and record animal information such as weight, size, physical condition, food intake, treatments and medications received for hospitalized patients. Interact with clients and keep them informed on patient care Assist with emergency care Keep up in a fast-paced environment We offer a friendly and supportive work environment.
