This is a part-time opportunity working Monday through Thursday alongside our dedicated neurology service, providing exceptional care to pets with neurologic conditions. Whether you're a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or an experienced veterinary technician looking to advance your skills in specialty medicine, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in patient care from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and patient treatments Administer and monitor anesthesia for neurologic procedures and advanced imaging Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia and sedation Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and treatment information Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications as directed Provide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized neurology patients Assist with diagnostic procedures and advanced imaging preparation Educate clients regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow technicians to deliver exceptional patient care Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation What We're Looking For We are seeking a technician who is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative specialty environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) preferred Experienced veterinary technicians without licensure are encouraged to apply Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture Excellent communication and client service skills Interest in specialty medicine, neurology, and advanced patient care Why Join Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists?
