Lead Veterinary Technician Neighborhood Veterinary Centers - La Marque, TX At Neighborhood Veterinary Centers, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with great people. We're looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician to join our La Marque team - someone who brings experience, initiative, excellent communication, and a genuine desire to help others grow. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to help strengthen incredible team. You'll work closely with our hospital leadership to support the medical needs and daily flow of the practice while helping create an environment where our team can do their best work. What You'll Do Serve as a hands-on resource for the veterinary technician team Work closely with the Medical Director to support medical standards, patient care, and hospital workflow Communicate clearly and intentionally with doctors, technicians, leadership, clients, and the broader hospital team Delegate effectively, provide direction, and hold team members accountable while remaining approachable and supportive Train, mentor, and develop team members, helping them build confidence and strengthen their skills Identify challenges, take initiative, and help develop practical solutions rather than simply identifying problems Step into difficult or sensitive client conversations with professionalism, empathy, and confidence Help keep the team moving forward when circumstances change or unexpected challenges arise Maintain a high standard of patient care and client service Contribute ideas and perspective to continuously improve our hospital and the experience we provide to our team, clients, and patients What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is established in their veterinary career but still excited to learn, grow, and help others grow with them. You'll be a strong fit if you: Have strong veterinary technician experience and a desire to take the next step in leadership Have exceptional communication skills and understand the importance of clear, intentional communication in a leadership role Are confident speaking directly with clients, including during difficult or emotionally sensitive situations Can remain professional, calm, and solution-focused when challenges arise Are kind but assertive and comfortable delegating and holding others accountable Enjoy training and mentoring and believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we can give our team Are a natural problem solver who takes initiative and looks for ways to keep things moving Are adaptable, able to read the room, and comfortable adjusting when circumstances change Prefer working alongside your team rather than leading from the sidelines Want to be a true partner to hospital leadership and bring your own ideas, strengths, and perspective to the table LVT credentialing is not required. We are open to an experienced non-credentialed veterinary technician who demonstrates the leadership, communication, and technical skills needed for the role.
