Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various procedures and treatments. Your expertise in animal care and handling will help ensure the well-being of our patients and support our mission to deliver exceptional veterinary services. Minimum 2 years experience required. Accepting resumes 4/1/26 through 5/1/26 Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal health and behavior, providing necessary care and comfort. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and observations. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and maintaining equipment. Handle dogs and other animals with care to minimize stress during visits or treatments. Skills The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Proficient in dog & cat handling techniques to ensure safety for both the animal and staff. Knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine. Strong background in animal care practices and principles of animal physiology. Comprehensive understanding of pet care requirements across various species. Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively during procedures to prevent infection. Solid grasp of animal anatomy knowledge essential for performing technical tasks. Understanding of dental terminology related to veterinary dentistry practices.
