Job Description

Gully Animal Hospital of Midlothian is seeking a responsible person to who is dedicated to our client's pets. We are in need of full time, experienced vet techs. We are a 5 doctor, full service veterinary hospital in Midlothian, TX. We offer digital radiology, in-house diagnositics, ultrasound, boarding, and grooming. We are very team oriented and value our employees in order to create a family-like, positive work environment. Cornerstone and Idexx experience is a plus. Pay is dependant upon level of experience and position that is being applied for. Please email resume.

One location Work Remotely No Summary As a Veterinary Technician, you will be essential in providing high-quality care for animals in a clinical setting. Reporting to the Veterinarian, your core responsibilities will include animal handling, administering treatments, and assisting with diagnostics using your knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Your premium skills in veterinary critical care and laboratory experience will enhance the level of care provided. Additionally, your relevant skills in pet grooming and dog training will contribute to a comprehensive approach to animal health. Qualifications Veterinary technician experience Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology Proficient in animal handling, restraint, and catheterization Experience with pet care and dog handling Familiarity with dental terminology and animal husbandry Ability to work in a kennel environment and provide veterinary critical care Relevant skills in dog training, pet grooming, and X-Ray procedures Responsibilities Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during examinations and treatments. Assist veterinarians in medical procedures, including animal catheterization and restraint. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care. Perform routine laboratory tests and assist in dental procedures. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility and equipment.
