About This Position The Emergency Veterinary Technician plays a vital role in supporting doctors, patients, and clients during urgent and emergency cases. This role requires strong technical skills, good judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional presence. This team member helps deliver exceptional patient care, supports workflow, communicates clearly with the medical team, and ensures clients feel informed and cared for during stressful situations. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on support for emergency and critical care patients Perform animal handling and restraint in urgent situations Perform venipuncture and assist with diagnostics Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals Assist with CPR and emergency response as needed Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients during stressful situations Support doctors and teammates during emergency procedures Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Required Qualifications Experience as a Veterinary Technician in an emergency, urgent care, or high-volume GP setting Strong technical skills and confidence in patient handling Ability to stay calm, focused, and kind in fast-paced situations Strong communication and teamwork skills Humble, coachable, and eager to continue learning Dependable, professional, and patient-centered Passion for serving both pets and people well Preferred Qualifications Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT / RVT / CVT) preferred (not required, depending on role/location) Emergency/critical care experience preferred Experience with in-house diagnostics, radiology, and anesthesia monitoring Familiarity with electronic medical records and fast-paced clinical workflow Compensation & Benefits (based on full-time eligibility and location):
