Our privately owned, multi-doctor practice is expanding so we are searching for an enthusiastic and reliable Veterinary Technician with excellent communication and technical skills (2yrs +). We value work-life balance, our technicians typically work 4 ten-hour shifts with a day off during the week and every other Saturday. We have a laid back, but dedicated team that supports each other. Our office is open 7am-7pm Monday-Friday and 7am-1pm on Saturday Job duties include, but are not limited to: Take pets' weight and other vital signs upon arrival Provide patient restraint during procedures and examinations Complete basic technician tasks such as prepping and administering vaccinations, blood draws, IVC placement, treatment of hospitalized pets Provide assistance with filling prescriptions, radiology and surgical procedure Knowledge of in-house Idexx lab machines including Pro-Cyte, Catalyst-DX and Sedi-vue is a plus along with Cornerstone experience Provide assistance to our Veterinarians to make their schedules run smoothly Cleaning, restocking and maintaining organization of exam rooms, treatment area, surgical suite, and radiology as needed Maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude at all times Able to multitask Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
