Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist our veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including animal handling, administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and providing general support to the veterinary team.

Duties:

• Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
• Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
• Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions or concerns
• Clean and sanitize examination rooms, surgical equipment, and kennels
• Assist with animal restraint when necessary

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Familiarity with animal husbandry practices
• Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer medications
• Experience with X-ray imaging is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
