Job Description
The Kennel Technician plays a vital role in providing daily care to the animals in our facility. This position works directly with both dogs and cats, ensuring they are safe, clean, healthy, and loved while they wait for their forever homes. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize kennel rooms and or our cattery daily Feed and provide fresh water to all animals Walk dogs and provide enrichment activities Provide daily care and monitoring of animals in the facility Assist with safe animal handling, feeding, and basic grooming Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal housing areas Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to a supervisor Administer medications as directed Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred, but not required Experience working in a high-volume shelter setting is a plus Experience with dog handling, pet grooming, or veterinary assistant duties is helpful Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods) Compassion, reliability, and strong teamwork skills are essential This is more than just a job — it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of animals in need.
