Prior experience in veterinary settings or pet care is highly valued, along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting. Duties Assist with pet feeding, cleaning, and maintaining kennels to ensure a hygienic environment Monitor animals' health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with routine procedures and treatments Provide pet grooming, including bathing and brushing, as needed Engage in pet sitting duties, offering companionship and comfort to animals during their stay Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and observations Assist with dog training exercises or behavioral assessments when required Ensure all equipment and kennel areas are sanitized regularly to uphold health standards Support customer service efforts by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs Medication Administration Experience Prior experience in veterinary technician work, pet grooming, or kennel operations is preferred Knowledge of dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care best practices is highly desirable Experience with veterinary assisting tasks or animal handling enhances suitability for this role Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently Strong customer service skills for interacting professionally with pet owners Previous experience working in animal shelters, kennels, or veterinary clinics is advantageous This position requires a compassionate individual committed to animal welfare, capable of handling physically demanding tasks, and eager to contribute positively to our team.
