Description Veterinary Technician

Full-time Schedule:
This role is 3-4 days per week, with shifts running 7:30a-6pm on surgery days and 7:55a-6:15pm on room days, plus a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month from 7:55a-6:15pm. About You As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets throughout every stage of their visit. This position includes hands-on patient care, surgical and dental support, laboratory procedures, client communication, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. Experience & Qualifications 2+ years of veterinary technician experience required Experience with surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry required Ability to confidently obtain high-quality dental radiographs Skilled in venipuncture and IV catheter placement Knowledge of patient monitoring, restraint techniques, and laboratory procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to pursue continued education and professional development Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Patient Care & Clinical Support Support veterinarians and the medical team in delivering quality veterinary care Assist with outpatient treatments, diagnostics, and laboratory testing Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement Safely restrain patients using appropriate handling techniques Assist with CPR and emergency procedures when needed Surgical & Dental Assistance Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia during procedures Assist with surgical procedures and patient recovery Monitor post-operative patients and provide attentive recovery care Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures Confidently take diagnostic dental radiographs Maintain sterile surgical and dental treatment areas Client Communication Educate clients on pet health, medications, treatments, and preventive care Communicate individualized patient care instructions clearly and compassionately Discuss wellness plans, follow-up care, and additional treatment recommendations Teamwork & Hospital Operations Help maintain smooth patient flow and hospital efficiency Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and laboratories clean, organized, and stocked Mentor and support fellow team members when appropriate Contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture You'll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
