Assist Veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Restrain and handling of horses Conduct thorough examinations of animals. Restraint of foals Conduct laboratory tests such as blood draws, samples, collections and basic diagnostics Administer medications and vaccinations following veterinary protocols Prepare animals for diagnostic imaging procedures like X-ray and assist during imaging sessions Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection Handle animal catheterization, animal anatomy, physiology, as needed Qualifications This role offers an engaging opportunity for veterinary technicians passionate about animal health to contribute significantly to equine veterinary services. We are willing to train motivated individuals, but equine experience is a must.
Equine Experience Horse handling:
1 year experience (Required) Equine Veterinary Technician experience Laboratory experience including sample processing or diagnostic testing highly desirable Experience with X-ray operation Must be able to jog, bend, crouch and lift 50 pounds
Pay:
$18.00 - $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
