Mountain West Veterinary Specialists - Bluffdale is seeking an experienced Day Shift Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. As a locally owned and independently operated specialty and emergency hospital, we are passionate about providing advanced veterinary medicine while fostering a positive, collaborative culture where every team member is valued. We are committed to practicing high-quality medicine while creating an environment where technicians can learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact every day. Responsibilities As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in patient care and client support by: Triaging and assessing patients upon arrival Monitoring patient vital signs and providing nursing care Administering medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids as prescribed Assisting with diagnostics, including radiology, laboratory testing, and advanced imaging procedures Placing IV catheters and collecting diagnostic samples Assisting veterinarians with procedures, surgeries, and critical patient care Maintaining accurate medical records Supporting and educating pet owners with compassion and professionalism Collaborating with a dedicated team to provide exceptional patient outcomes Qualifications & What We're Looking For 3-4 years of veterinary experience required Proficiency in patient handling, restraint, and technical nursing skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic Thrive in a collaborative environment Enjoy learning and growing professionally Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced setting Schedule Full-time Day Shift Three 13-hour shifts per week Many team members enjoy consistent schedules that provide excellent work-life balance Some weekend and holiday shifts are required due to our 24-hour hospital operations Join Our Team At Mountain West Veterinary Specialists, we believe great medicine starts with great people.
