Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician with at least 1-2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. This position requires a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as prescribed. Provide veterinary critical care to animals in need of immediate attention. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care. Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with team members and pet owners. Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used during examinations and treatments. Oversee kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health of animals. Assist in pet grooming tasks as needed to maintain the hygiene of animals. Educate pet owners on animal husbandry practices and general care requirements. Support dog training initiatives by providing guidance to pet owners. Skills Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and dental terminology. Experience in veterinary critical care settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including proper restraint methods. Ability to perform basic pet grooming tasks effectively. Understanding of dog training principles is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
