Job Description
Veterinary Technician - Urgent Care About the Role Our veterinary technicians are actively involved in patient care and work closely with our veterinarian throughout the day. This is a great role for an experienced technician who enjoys urgent cases, variety, client education, and being part of a collaborative medical team. You'll see a wide range of cases and have opportunities to continue strengthening your technical skills. Responsibilities Assist with scheduled appointments, urgent cases, and walk-ins Obtain patient histories and assist with patient triage Perform venipuncture and catheter placement Assist with diagnostic testing and treatments Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients Assist with anesthesia and surgical procedures Administer medications and treatments as directed Provide client education and discharge instructions Maintain accurate medical records Support patient follow-up and technician rechecks Work collaboratively with the veterinarian and hospital team What We're Looking For Previous veterinary technician experience preferred CVT credentials are valued but not required Strong technical and patient handling skills Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and take initiative Availability for rotating weekends What We Offer $16-$22 per hour DOE Employee pet care discounts Full-time and part-time opportunities Hands-on experience with a wide variety of cases Opportunities to continue developing technical skills Collaborative doctor and technician team Opportunity to grow with a privately owned hospital
