Olympus Cove Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced, compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our independently owned small-animal practice in Millcreek, Utah. Olympus Cove Veterinary Clinic has served the Millcreek community for more than 35 years. Our clinic offers digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, surgery, dentistry, and general medical care for dogs and cats. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures Obtain patient histories and accurately record vital signs, medications, and treatments Safely and compassionately handle dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples Perform in-house laboratory testing, including bloodwork and urinalysis Take digital dental and full body radiographs and assist with ultrasound and other diagnostic procedures Prepare patients and equipment for surgery and dental procedures Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments under a veterinarian's direction Place and maintain IV catheters and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients Review medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care with pet owners Maintain clean, organized treatment, surgical, laboratory, and kennel areas Help appointments and patient care move efficiently throughout the day Support coworkers and assist with other clinical responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is required Veterinary technician credential is preferred but not required Experience with anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiography, laboratory procedures, and medication administration is preferred Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and basic animal anatomy and physiology Strong low stress animal-handling and restraint skills Clear and compassionate communication with pet owners Ability to stay calm, organized, and attentive in a busy environment Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Willingness to communicate concerns directly, respectfully, and professionally Ability to accept feedback, take responsibility for mistakes, and help find solutions A team-oriented attitude without gossip, cliques, or unnecessary conflict If you are an experienced veterinary professional who values excellent patient care, teamwork, and a respectful workplace, we would be glad to hear from you.
