Job Description

Got the right combination of passion and professionalism to assist our veterinarians, lead our assistants, and deliver exceptional service to our patients and their people? We are looking to add an enthusiastic individual to our team! If you have an affinity for pet health, great attention to detail, awesome communication skills, keyboarding proficiency, and a love of animals (we see cats and dogs), then you may have a valuable place in our bustling and energetic hospital. What sets us apart is our people! If you want to work with an amazing, supportive team with a fun sense of humor in a drama-free environment, then we're the clinic for you! Our veterinarians and our staff are highly dedicated, caring, thorough, and experienced professionals who strive to make pets' and peoples' lives better every day. We go the extra mile to provide compassionate, treat-filled and stress-free care for our patients. Many of them love coming to see us! As a licensed tech you will be responsible for duties including but not limited to: assisting our doctors and monitoring patients for sedated and anesthetic procedures and surgeries, performing dentals and digital dental radiography (we can train if needed), keeping up-to-date records of controlled drug logs, and performing monthly audits. Also, you will be assisting our doctors with exams, entering digital medical records (we are paperless), handling patients for procedures, performing treatments and sample collections, leading/mentoring assistants in digital radiography (DR) and other procedures, and educating clients via phone, in person, or email. We do not offer boarding services at our clinic so you will not be tasked with boarding duties. We are not open on weekends, so only a Monday-Friday work week. Licensed technicians must have a degree from an accredited school and have a current, active license to practice in Virginia. Proficiency in Cornerstone software is a plus but not required. Very generous PTO policy compared to other private practices!
