Join Our Team Cascade West Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our dedicated team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. About You As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you play a vital role in the lives of pets and their families by providing comprehensive care throughout every stage of their visit. Your work will range from hands-on outpatient treatments and laboratory testing to surgical assistance and patient admission and discharge support. You are compassionate, motivated, and thrive in a collaborative environment where high-quality medicine and teamwork come first. Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality patient care, advocate for pets, and educate clients Assist the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow Assist with surgeries and monitor anesthesia in accordance with Washington State Veterinary Practice Act guidelines for credentialed technicians Communicate with clients regarding individualized pet health concerns, medications, treatment plans, and Thrive Membership options Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using hospital systems Obtain and document relevant patient histories Utilize safe restraint techniques and adhere to standard medical protocols Maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratory spaces Mentor and support fellow team members Experience & Skills Requirements Current Veterinary Technician license in Washington State Strong work ethic and self-motivation Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and patient-focused approach Effective and respectful communication with clients and team members Commitment to client education Willingness to assist with reception duties when needed Positive, solution-oriented mindset Strong problem-solving skills (judgment, logic, creativity, and conflict resolution) Flexible schedule About Cascade West Veterinary Hospital Cascade West Veterinary Hospital is a full-service mixed animal veterinary clinic offering comprehensive medical and surgical care.
